The OEKO-TEX® association consists of 15 renowned institutes for textile research and testing in Europe and Japan, with offices in over 60 countries worldwide.
Long-standing experience of the institutes is the basis for the joint continued development of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which was introduced at the beginning of the 1990s in response to the people’s demand for textiles which are harmless to health. STeP is the certification system for a Sustainable Textile Production.

Hohenstein Institute is one of the founder institutes of the OEKO-TEX® association. Specialised in testing, certification and research of textiles since more than 65 years the Institute has nowadays a total number of about 500 employees at the headquarters in Boennigheim and in over 40 offices globally.

What we offer

Nowadays, consumers not only want high-quality textiles wich are harmless to health, but also consinder an environmentally-friendly and socially responsible produciton of the products they buy to be increasingly important. OEKO-TEX offers a certification system for the targeted support of brands, retailers and manufacturers who successfully meet the challenge of sustainable production requirements. This system enables companies along the textile chain to publicly document their commitment to these requirements in a clear and transparent way.

What we are looking for
